Website Update 6/8/22 – RTR Final Phase

Following our most recent RTR project the Class 52 “Western” we are now at the point where we can move into the final phase of the RTR project.

Our aim has always been to make available a full range of chassis for our diesel models Classes 21 – 60 that are fitted with our 8 wheel centre drive design that has been used in our production runs over the last year (Classes 24/37/42/52) and we are now in a position where we can build chassis to special order for our diesels.

So to go into further detail, Classes 21 through to Class 60 will be available with the current exception of the Class 58, all chassis feature 8 wheel drive/pickup, centre motor, along with standard price brackets which will simply be Small/Medium/Large based on as you would expect the actual size of the model/chassis, they will be available RTR (Ready To Roll) and Chassis only for anyone who already owns one of our bodies.

The prices for the Chassis/RTR are as follows:

Small Chassis – £130 / RTR Small – £165

Medium Chassis – £140 / RTR Medium – £175

Large Chassis – £150 / RTR Large – £185

Prices include P&P to UK mainland

As always, please register your interest via the Contact Page Here or at the usual email, we expect demand to be high so all orders will be filled on a first come first served basis and you will be notified once your order is ready.

But wait there’s more…….…….

One other thing that we have in motion now which we’re very excited about is Glazing for our diesel bodies, we will be working our way through the range over the coming months, the first two locos on the list are the Class 52 and Class 42, more details on this will follow with regards to pricing, but anyone who has purchased one of our RTR locos will be able to purchase the glazing for the price of P&P only once these are available.

More details to follow along with some pictures very soon.

  1. Excellent news about the chassis’s. For anyone interested these are lovely smooth runners from someone who has 5.

Could you do me a chassis for the class 50 that I bought a few months ago.

Whilst writing could you also consider doing an updated version of the class 50 as I would like to do this in Network Southeast livery and I would need a chassis for that as well.

    1. Hi Andy,

We will pop you down for those, with regards to the NSE 50 are you referring to the refurbished version with the later style roof? It shouldn’t be an issue if so.

    1. Hi Graham,

The issue we have at this moment in time is a lack of test facilities for 14mm, this is something we want to address down the line and the chassis is designed with 14mm compatibility
in mind, so hopefully in the not too distant future we can take a serious look at it.

      1. Thanks jamie for response, prob very few big 14.2mm layouts for testing. mine once built will prob never get any bigger than 10ft….I’ll look forward to hopefully 14.2 rtp from LL! Points avaliable for test track from British finescale and easy to assemble too so end to end test track easy to make…
        My 2 LL/oaktree 08s are lonely!!

    1. Hi Peter,
      That’s very kind thank you.
The 71 is a medium chassis, we will be adding some details on the website at some point regarding each class and their respective chassis size, as a rough guide though a majority of the 8’6″ wheel base Bo-Bo are small, 10”6″ Bo-Bo medium, then the large covering most of the Co-Co locos, there are a couple that fall outside of this but it’s a good guide.
As for the tender drive units, we’ve had a few variations of this type of unit made for some other projects, so it’s certainly something we can bring in to action, we will drop you an email to discuss the specifics.
