  2. I fitted couplings to the class 37 yesterday after shortening the projection on the bogie by about 3mm to take it in line with the buffer beam of the body.  Today I coupled it up to all my available couches with couplings (13) and set it off, it is without a doubt the smoothest running 3mm chassis I have ever had the pleasure of driving, the combination of 8 wheel pick up and flywheels means it cruises over pointwork and dirty track all without so much as a flicker, absolutely brilliant.  And despite the weight of the train, full speed to stop is at least 3 loco lengths, so much more fun to drive as there is a completely different driving technique required.
